Closed Circuit Training (CCR)
Closed Circuit Rebreather
Take a step into your first truly quiet experience. Closed Circuit Rebreather (CCR) diving is ideal for those of you who wish to be at the forefront of your chosen sport and are ready to take your first steps into extended silent dive times.
Using the Inspiration or Evolution Closed Circuit Rebreathers (CCR), you can extend your dive time with little equipment, and with just two small cylinders, the units are fairly easy to use and maintain. You have the benefit of warm, moist, comfortable breathing gas, reducing the hypothermic tendencies you can get with an open circuit. With just a few simple preparations and with the latest technology on board, you can maximise your gas supply and maintain an optimum breathing gas for any depth.
The Inspiration and Evolution CCR units work on electronic-controlled O2 injection, which means that as O2 becomes metabolised by your body, the system automatically replaces the used O2 with fresh gas. The major difference of the closed circuit system is that it maintains a constant PO2 during the dive, so instead of planning a mix for a given depth, the unit constantly changes the mix to suit the depth that you are at and therefore minimises N2 levels.
The objective of the Level 1 TDI CCR course is to train divers in the benefits, hazards, and proper procedures of Closed Circuit Rebreather diving. You will develop basic Closed Circuit Rebreather diving skills appropriate to diving within your training levels.
